Hyundai Motor forms EV Charging Alliance in Indonesia

Sunday,Jul 28,2024

South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Company announced on July 22 that it has formed the Hyundai EV Charging Alliance with six local private charging operators at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2024 held on July 19.

Hyundai's electric vehicle users can use the charging facilities of other companies in the alliance through the "myHyundai" application without the need for separate membership registration or payment settings. Hyundai is the first company in Indonesia to launch a roaming plan that allows the use of multiple charging facilities of different operators through one application.

The Hyundai EV Charging Alliance operates 429 charging stations in Indonesia with a total of 696 electric vehicle charging piles, accounting for 97% of the total number of private electric vehicle charging piles in the country.

This decision may further promote the development of Indonesia's electric vehicle market and strengthen Hyundai's market influence and competitiveness in the local market.
