Xinjie Energy's SiC/GaN power device and packaging R&D and industrialization project postponed

Sunday,Aug 18,2024

Xinjie Energy announced on August 13 that it plans to postpone the scheduled usable date of the "third-generation semiconductor SiC/GaN power device and packaging R&D and industrialization" project in the previous fundraising project to August 2025.

The announcement shows that the postponement is affected by uncontrollable factors such as the macro environment. The progress of related work such as the project's engineering construction, equipment procurement and personnel arrangement has been affected to a certain extent and cannot be completed within the planned time.

According to previous news, the postponed project belongs to the expansion project of Xinjie Energy's second plant, with a total investment of approximately 223 million yuan. The project will start construction in 2022 and was originally planned to be completed in 2024. After the project is completed, it will achieve an annual output of 26.4 million SiC/GaN power devices.

Xinjie Energy emphasized that the postponement of this fundraising project only involves changes in the progress of the project, which will not have a substantial impact on the implementation of the project, nor will it have a significant impact on the company's normal operations.
