Infineon Technologies and EVE Energy jointly build the next generation of battery management system

Sunday,Dec 22,2024

According to the memorandum of cooperation, Infineon will provide a complete set of chip solutions, including microcontroller units (MCUs), cell balancing and monitoring ICs, power management ICs, drivers, MOSFETs, CAN and sensor products. By adopting these solutions, EVE Energy's battery management system will have a high degree of safety, reliability and more optimized costs, and can more accurately monitor, protect and optimize the battery performance of electric vehicles (EVs), improving the user's driving experience and the energy efficiency of vehicles.

The rapid development of electrification has driven the demand for advanced battery solutions. Infineon's leading battery management ICs and EVE Energy's advanced battery technology will jointly lay the foundation for the next generation of smart battery packs. Infineon meets the different needs of customers by providing comprehensive and advanced system-level solutions. It is believed that further cooperation between the two parties will promote benign interaction and coordinated development at all levels.
——Andreas Doll-Senior Vice President of Infineon Technologies and General Manager of Smart Power Product Line

In recent years, EVE Energy has achieved rapid growth in the field of battery management systems. We are determined to continue this development momentum and attach great importance to cooperation with Infineon. The two parties will jointly launch more advanced solutions to meet customer needs and improve system reliability and efficiency.

Infineon Battery Management System (BMS) Solution

Electrification and battery management systems are key areas for Infineon. Infineon has a complete portfolio of battery management systems, including wired and wireless BMS solutions. Wired BMS solutions are based on products such as AURIX, PMIC, balancing and monitoring ICs. TLE9012DQU and TLE9015DQU provide optimized cell monitoring and balancing solutions, combining excellent measurement performance, higher quality standards and application robustness to achieve lean and economical designs. These two ICs are suitable for a variety of industrial, consumer and automotive battery applications and meet the safety requirements of ASIL-D. The wireless BMS solution uses Infineon's latest CWY89829 low-power chip to create an interconnected mesh network, achieving maximum node connection speed while maintaining sensor efficiency. In addition, Infineon also provides reliable LV MOSFET and EiceDRIVER solutions, including 2ED2410 and 2ED4820 products designed for future applications such as 24V/48V BMS main switch electrification.
